Blogging on the World Race was one of my favorite things about the race. It was fun and easy to come up with new blog topics...I mean I was traveling the world and experiencing something new almost every day. It was almost more difficult not to blog on the race!
Now that I am home I don't really look at everything from my day and think to myself, "that would make one excellent blog!" But that's okay, I'm going to do it anyways.
So get excited because I am SUPER EXCITED about this.
So here are just a few of the crazy awesome adventures that I have experienced over the last two months.
One weekend I drove to Abilene to hang out with some fun friends from college. While I was there we had like 6 dinner parties, took ridiculous pictures, laughed a ton, had more heart to hearts than I thought was possible, and my favorite was when we pulled over on the side of the highway to watch the sunset behind the windmills. During our waiting time we got a little restless and decided that we needed some tunes, those tunes led to an intense, side of the highway dance party and a ton of panoramic pics!
I have also fallen in love since I got home. Let me explain...one of my very best friends from college, Julie Marie, had her first baby!! His name is Titus and he is the cutest baby ever! Let me show you a picture...
Isn't he so cute?!? And in the midst of falling in love with this cutie I got to hang out with his mom and Ariel. It was just like we were back in college with an added baby bonus. We talked about where we were with Jesus, the dreams that we have, homeschooling, and a whole lot about the Holy Spirit. It's so exciting to me that God has managed to take three people that came from similar religious backgrounds and brought them to the same realization about the Holy Spirit. Oh man...God is oh so good!
My final adventure that I will share is one that I got to experience on my own and it was exactly what I needed. When I got home in December everything was frozen and I thought that it would be a lifetime before I would be able to go to the lake, my favorite place in the world. I was so wrong, because I was able to go to the lake twice last weekend. My favorite time though was on Saturday when I went with my sunglasses, my journal, Bible and Spotify with the expectation to hear from the Lord. Hearing from Him is exactly what happened! In that place I was able to simply sit back and take in all of God's creation as He spoke of His love for me through Psalms 139. It was a remarkable afternoon that was wrapped up by driving home in a truck with my windows down....once again, oh so good!!
What do some of your adventures look like?
